Description

Merchandising Manager - Plan and select commercially viable range of products to support company's strategy.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

*Bachelor’s in Business Administration/Marketing or related discipline.

*Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a similar role.

*Working knowledge of supply chain management and sourcing strategies.

*Ability to assess industry and market trends, market dynamics and data analysis.

*Ability to manage product category by determining price points and margins to maximize market share, gross margin and stock productivity.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

*Develop and manage range plans to support the company’s strategic goals.

*Execute action plans agreed with Regional.

*Analyze product cost and manage pricing budget of product lines.

*Work closely with Regional Merchandising Manager to develop annual and monthly sales plan to ensure achievement of budget and gross margin objectives.

*Conduct ongoing SKU management and make recommendations to achieve sales plans.

*Monitor and manage slow moving and discontinued product lines.

*Review and interpret competitor marketing activity and overall market demands.

*Visit stores to assess stockholdings, stock rotation and merchandizing of products.

*Partner with Marketing and Operation functions to ensure implementation of marketing campaigns that will ensure attainment of sales budgets.
