Senior Supervisor Operations & Maintenance

SUMMARY:
Responsible for the Supervision of operations, maintenance, and deployment of all Speednet Communications Ltd. Cell Sites.
Responsible for the supervision of operations and maintenance of Power and Transmission Equipments for Speednet Wireless Networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Operations and maintenance of Radio Base Stations equipment, PDH, SDH, microwave and fiber transmission equipment.
• Operations and maintenance of AC, DC and standby generators power equipment.
• Installation, testing and commissioning of all new cell sites. Configuration and wiring of external alarms
• Maintain an efficient inventory of spares and working equipment.
• Ensure adequate spare levels are maintained at all times, keep track on equipment repairs and RMA equipment.
• Alarm monitoring, analysis, and correction.
• Monitor network and element performance to ensure KPIs are met and maintained.
• Identifying possible service affecting situations and making recommendation to address the same.
• Participate and support in planning of new projects and works.
• Plan, coordinate and supervise implementation of approved works.
• Ensure standards and procedures are maintained.
• Ensure preventative maintenance program is implemented as scheduled.
• Ensure proper documentation of completed works and network expansions.
• Enforce good housekeeping for the easy access of equipment and spares.
• Maintenance of vehicles and a comprehensive log sheet for fleet of vehicles.
• Any other duties assigned from time to time commensurate with the level of the post.

QUALIFICATIONS:
An Associate Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, telecommunications, preferable Bachelor degree or related certifications and qualifications are considered an asset.

3 years’ hands on Experience in the Technical Area of Telecommunications, CATV or ISP Providers, with experience as Supervisor in the telecommunication industry.

Certifications as PMP, IP Networking as CCNA / CNNP in Cisco, CompTIA Networks and LINUX are a PLUS.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Valid driver’s permit for standard transmission vehicles
• Possess good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player with ability to multi-task and efficiently meet deadlines
• Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare and analyze reports
